Clingmans' Dome

To get here you first have to drive to the highest mountain peak in Tennessee.
Then you have a 1/2 mile trek up the mountain. (Don't let it fool you.)
It is a fairly steep trek, but it is paved. So you don't have to worry about loose
gravel. There are benches on the way so you can sit and catch your breath.
Views along the way are beautiful.

At the top there was still snow on the ground, so the kids had to take advantage of the snowballs.

We then ascended to the top of the tower overlook.
At the summit!
This endeaver is not for wimps or the faint hearted.
