Field Trip to Ripley's Aquarium

Today we went to Gatlinburg, to Ripley's Aquarium. This is a great aquarium. We haven't been in a few years so we were really ready for a trip back. We had an even bigger surprise when snow began to fall this morning, shutting down all the schools in the area. We practically had the aquarium all to ourselves. (I bet there wasn't 50 people there today.) So we were able to really take things in without a crowd.

I love the underground tunnel you can walk through, this is a view looking up at the fish.

We got to see the diver feed the fish.

A stingray. (He is smiling at us.) At least I think that is a smile!

What a great trip! This Spring they are bringing in a Penguin Habitat!
I heard a little about the plans today I think it will be great!

We also had a homeschool program where we learned more about
life at the poles. The kids made Penguin bead keychains.
