Weekly Wrap Up

We are on week 7 of our final unit. The past 2 weeks we have been reading "Listen to the Whipporwhill" and "The Safe House". Both books are about Slavery and the underground railroad. Today we finished up "Listen to the Whipporwill."

Over the next 3 weeks we will continue reading Civil War Era books.

Lexi is reading "Addy" (American Girl)
Peyton is reading A book about a 12 year old boy during the Civil War.

Peyton finished Greek levels 1 and 2 this year, as well as Latin Level 1 and 2.
He is in book 1 of Key to Decimals and should finish it shortly.
He is still rotating Queens LA and another book on Writing Paragraphs.

Lexi really did not do much last week or this week except some light math and reading. Because of her hand-being bitten by the dog. I didn't want to cause any excess pain. But it really doesn't matter. (She will continue working on math during the summer.) And next week she will make up a few things she missed this week. A couple presidents' reports, and a state report.

We are still continuing with our Chinese lessons each week. Peyton is still in Art class, and Lexi continues with Jazz and Musical Theater.

We have also been doing alot around the house. We put mulch out into our flower beds. (Some require mulch.) We have also been out trying to get rid of boring bees that have decided my deck should be there new drilling area. We also have gypsy moth larvae on one of our oak trees. So the kids think it is fun to take their bb guns out each evening and shoot the caterpillars.
